I have found that I am seeing burning that looks very similar to a dried out marker where the stop points are much darker that intended, making shading incredibly difficult. I will continue to practice and hope that is the problem.
I''ve seen videos now that show completely different tips than the ones this product comes with, so that could be the issue as well.
Overall, there are a large variety of tips to choose from. I recommend keeping the heat level at the mid range and practicing on a variety of woods, both soft and hard, dark and light, until you get to a point of comfort with this tool.
I am excited to learn and grow and think this is the affordable tool in which to learn and craft your talent with a variety of basic tips and temperatures.
