I bought this to replace the outlet at what has become the charging station in my kitchen. I found that the hardest part of the installation is getting the wires on the lugs. I found that the hardest part of the installation is getting the wires on the lugs. One of the videos I watched shows this being installed in parallel--two wires on each lug. One wire is not very easy; so I would imagine two increases the difficulty. The wallboard cutout around my receptacle is oversized by about 1/2". The wall plate that comes with this outlet does not allow any room for that. Nowhere in the description do they tell you the actual dimensions of the cover plate. I am guessing that it is supposed to be a standard size. But I put it up against an existing standard plate and it is a fraction smaller. (See third and fourth pictures.) It appears that the cover plate is sized to match the dimensions of the receptacle box inside the wall. So if your receptacle opening is oversized by 1/8", you will likely see a gap at the edge. I finalized my installation by using a Leviton R62-0PJ26-00W from The Home Depot. It is very similar to Leviton 80601-W from Amazon. Both are midsize GFCI cover plates. The second picture is the included cover plate installed. The first picture is the suggested cover plate.

The description implies that the USB ports are fast charging. They are not. My fast charger charges my phone at about 1% per minute. This outlet charges my phone at 1% per 1-1/2 minutes. Where it would take my phone 40 minutes to reach a full charge from 60% battery life with a fast charger. It takes 65 minutes to reach a full charge from 60% battery life with this outlet.

Things to Note:
This outlet itself does not offer GFCI protection. So I would advise you not to use this to replace a GFCI outlet at the head of the line. My charging station is at the end of the line plus the entire circuit is on a GFCI breaker; so I have no concerns. I considered getting a larger cover plate like the one that came with the outlet but I could not stop staring at it. It just does not look right.

I deducted one star for a generally useless cover plate. I deducted one star for falling short of the expected charging capacity. I will likely get a different brand for any future replacements. I will check it in one month and decide whether I should return it.
