These particular Govee outlets are very quickly becoming my favorite. I do also like their dual smart plugs though. The main reason I prefer these single Govee smart plugs is because they fit on an extension cord or surge protector without taking up too much space. I haven''t lost any outlet space just because I tried to use a smart plug. So many brands have really bulky smart plugs, and it''s a huge annoyance to deal with them when they cover more than one space on my power strip. The Govee outlets are some of the easiest smart plugs I''ve ever set up. I''ve not come across issues where they don''t pair or aren''t detectable like I have with other brands. They also seem to reconnect themselves pretty well when my power goes out or if I unplug them. I haven''t had to re-pair them or reset them. They work really well with my Amazon Alexa devices AND with the Apple Home features. I use these specific outlets to automatically control fans and grow lights in my tropical plant cabinets. These plants are really sensitive to changes so having consistent light, heat, humidity, and general conditions are really important. I use a modified Ikea cabinet and I use these Govee outlets with my Amazon Alexa routines to control nearly everything. This also gives me the ability to turn them on or off as needed by just asking Alexa. I''m not sure if these outlets are meant for humid environments though. I worked around that by placing a piece of tape over the side button and over any unused portion of the outlet. Specifically the ground hole of the plug used for my fans. I haven''t had any issues with humidity while doing this. I believe this is my third set of these smart outlets and they''re my go to at this point. I also really like Govee in general because they provide affordable options for smart devices. I''ve had really positive experiences with their Dual Smart Plug, Wifi smart light bulbs, LED light strips, and Flow Plus LED Light Bars. Because of this I''m also considering replacing my current humidifiers and thermometer/hygrometers with the Govee options! The Govee app in general has been incredibly reliable and easy to navigate.
